Everywhere I go I take my sketchbook.
Sketching is easier than taking pictures, or at least it is more reliable to your memory, because you do not sketch what is there, but only what you see...
(I don´t see cars in front of buildings, I don't see electrical wires all over the place... Photos do.)
..and when you get home and open the sketchbook, you'll see what and how you saw, and you'll have the same feeling.
I leave here some of my registers.
The Spanish Mission in Carmel is another place that surprises each and every vistor. It keeps the history of the old times, when the first spanish people arrived to the West Coast, to explore this amazing part of the world.
It can still be seen the old building that was the church and the houses surrounding them. A very colonial spot!
It is true! It is a beautiful city!! San Francisco is definitely worth a visit! Several actually! The bay is in fact very special, and even for me, a portuguese from Lisbon, grown near a bridge such as the Golden Gate, San Francisco impressed me for the light (so similar to Lisbon's!), and for the bay, so wide and clear, that the water seems to never end on the other side of the ocean :)
